Jane Eyre: Chapters 3-4-5

1) He took liberties in the fighting scene (didn`t put the part of the cut in Jane`s head due to the book hiting her)  , in some minor details, and in the time anddescription of the red room, an important part of the first chapters, that due to the time it would take was shortened.

2) I think it was well portrayed, as she was punished because she talked back and because she fought, but maybe it could have been more severe.

3) It would be known, people would judge those treatments and authorities would take part and follow the law that now protects children against abuses.

Analysis Questions Chapters 3 – 4

1) It´s a good relationship, he treated her well and suggested her to go to a boarding school, were she can be far from the Reeds. This is a good thing because she feels more "loved", she feels she is not hated by everyone.

2) Instead of just having to deny what they used to say of her, she confronts her. "I am glad...sick". the quote is of her confronting her aunt, so she sys what she thinks of her, something that would be very disrespectful in those times.

3) A christian school, simple dressing, unsophisticated accomodations, sever treatments. "consistency madam... inhabitants" (p.30). This proves to be a school of silent submited children, were she would have hard times, because of her attitude.
