A T.V news report: I wouldn`t use any other than formal language
A T.V opinion piece: Here you can use a personal touch and even jargon and a more informal language, but maintaining a base of formal language
Newspaper editorial: You can use personal touches and opinions, but in a formal way
A politicalcolumnist`s blog: He can put his opinions, a pesonal touch, but mustbe formal
A celebrity profile in a magazne: You can use jargon, informal language and opinions.
A sport broadcast: These types of broadcast may be formal, but anyway you can use some jargon and opinions
A political speech: Very formal

Activity 3.1

1.- I would like to be famous but on a normal way, not so famous that I couldn`t have a bit of privacy, or that they`ll distort everything I do,  for example being a famous youtuber would be good.

2.-Negative, because they are always in between bad news, parties, getting drunk, etc.

3.- We are more informed than in other times, if someone tells us about something that happened we can google it instantly and get information

Academic writing: Media

The media are the goup of medium (radio, television, newspaper, internet, etc) that we use on our daily basis to inform ourselves of the recent events in all areas, like economy, sports, celebrities, criminalistic, etc. I think that the person that controls th media controls almost anyone`s opinions and atitudes.
First of all, I think that having the control of media gives you the chance to give the inforation the way you want it to be given, and sometimes distortioning it from it`s original meaning. For example in Chile we have a "recent" case from last year, from a woman called Inés Pérez gives an interview and when the news edited the interview it made her look and she thought something completely different to what she really thought of what she was being interview. Also, when someon controls al the media he or she decides what to show, it can be decided to show no information about economy for example, or no information about sports, someone can decide how it is shown, when and in wich way

About the year

This year we will be working in Language and mass communication (media texts critical analysis) in the first semestr and Literature critical study (Jayne Eyre, Collection of poems) in the second semester.
This year we will cntinue with our blogs and I expect it to be funnier as we are a smaller group this year, I am not very excited about learning literature, but maybe I will learn something that may be very useful.
